This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China, published on April 13, 2021.
In the first three months of the new year, China exported and imported goods worth 8.47 trillion yuan ($1.3 trillion). Compared to the first quarter of 2020, the country’s foreign trade turnover increased by 29.2%.
A factor in the revival of China’s foreign trade was an increase in demand for consumer goods, medical equipment and electronics made in China.
The country’s exports and imports are also expected to increase in the second quarter, but with a smaller percentage increase.
